Sumario:This paper aims at presenting the main theoretical and philosophical cornerstones that frame the contemporary research in translational hermeneutics, such as represented by researchers like Radegundis Stolze, Bernd Stefanink, Larissa Cercel, and many more. The topics covered range from the historical-philological origins of hermeneutics to the contributions of Schleiermacher, Heidegger, and Gadamer, so as to illustrate the backdrop against which the contemporary research in translational hermeneutics stands.
