Resumo:This research aims to explore the audiovisual intensity of two scenes about torture found in the film Hitler IIIº Mundo by José Agripino de Paula, in order to understand the concept of virtualization in the perspective of Pierre Lévy. In this way, we seek to understand how the audiovisual aesthetics of the marginal cinema of the 1970s, more specifically the film by José Agrippino de Paula, is configured as a form of resistance against the Brazilian military dictatorship. Finally, it concludes that while the aesthetic experience of these scenes has the potential to change the perspective on the dictatorship, they can also transform the perception of torture itself and its different forms.
