Summary:The current paper intends to set a brief analysis of the panorama of Brazilian Insolvency Law, in the context of the crisis resulting from the Covid-19 (coronavirus) pandemic. For this purpose, the article will expose the jurisprudential treatment of the subject so far, the proposed bills currently in course, and its practical application. In a scenery of uncertainty, legal doctrine has frequently debated both jurisprudential and legal positions, leading punctual analysis on each reform proposition, which passes not unnoticed by the present research. Notwithstanding, the current paper shall punctuate statutory changes to the Brazilian Law nº 11.101, mostly related to a general critique of an alleged incentive towards default, brought by Legislative Bill nº 1.397/2020 dispositions.
