Description
Summary:This article aims to reflect on the impact of the expansion of neoconservative and neoliberal forces in the structure of the State, especially in educational policies aimed at gender equality and recognition of diversity. The aim is to articulate the notions of neoconservatism, democratization, highlighting conservative actions in the educational field, as a result of the anti-gender offensive, directly impacting the principles of democratic education. This is a reflective theoretical essay that articulates theoretical concepts of neoconservatism, feminism and gender studies. It is possible to highlight a context of de-democratization and regression in the educational scenario, in which the suppression and silencing of gender issues in educational policies affects the guarantee of human rights and, consequently, weakens democracy.
