| Summary: | First, the Zen-Buddhist short story of the ox and its shepherd will be interpreted to explore some relationships regarding Eastern thought and self-knowledge. Then the body and its relationship with yoga will be discussed, especially its more physical-bodily aspect – hatha yoga – seeking to demonstrate the essential and paradoxical dimension of its original roots, that is, awakening a more subtle view on the matter that makes up beings through study and practice of body and gesture.
