Descripción
Sumario:This article aims to present a line of convergence between austerity programs, the implementation of ultra-liberal agendas and the creation of consensus, through the use of the public sphere, as a strategy for the advancement of the global far-right, endorsed by voting. It presents a historical narrative of austerity policies and their implementation after the First World War, seeking to demonstrate the mechanisms of coercion and consensus adopted since then, ranging from Mussolini's fascism to the use of algorithms through social networks to sell the image of anti-system candidates who try to implement ultra-liberal experiences by the far-right ideological spectrum, as was the case with Jair Bolsonaro in Brazil. It concludes by pointing to the need for regulation of social networks and the politicization of the economy.
