Descrição
Resumo:The objective of this study was to verify if there is any difference between aged volunteers and formal aged workers concerning the level of subjective well-being (SWB), measured by two scales (General Satisfaction with Life and Positive and Negative Mood) and to the level of well-being at work (WBW), measured by the WBW Pointers' scales. The sample was composed of 53 people (25 volunteers and 28 formal workers). The average age of the volunteers was 65 and that of the formal workers was 64. The results indicated a high level of SWB among all participants holding a higher level among the volunteers. They also showed a significantly higher level of WBW. The data had also pointed to a high and positive relationship between SWB and WBW.
