| Sumario: | This article aimed to show the importance of using time indicators within the maintenance area of a company that manufacturer of electric harnesses and to suggest a proposal for improvement. The study was conducted in the cable cutting sector, where the availability of machines is essential to support a competitive and accelerated production pace that is required to remain active in the market. The problem studied was based on the time indicators, proposing an improvement to raise the MTBF and reduce the MTTR, directly affecting the productivity of the machine and the plant. The period considered was the year 2021 and the information was obtained with a deductive analysis of the production process of an electrical circuit cutting machine and the indicators made available by the company's system on the cutting sector. Based on the indicators available, the sector is within the goal established by the company, with emphasis on machine number 2062 that had higher index of open calls and more downtime. The suggested improvement was applied to the machine belt system and should decrease the amount of interventions resulting from the wear of these parts, which in 2021 resulted in 27 hours of. |
